We went on a boat trip from Taranto with the Jonian Dolphin Conservation research association to watch dolphins in the Gulf of Taranto. It was really spectacular and therefore I really wanted to recommend it. By watching dolphins with Jonian Dolphin Conservation in the you don’t only take a boat trip together with the marine biologists and volunteers who observe the dolphins but also help to finance their research.
Visitors have to book the trip in advance and it is often booked weeks ahead, so I recommend, if you visit Puglia and are interested, to make a reservation on their website in good time.
